Hey, Omen folk,
What's this? What's going on? It hasn't been two weeks since last
layout yet! What is this email?
If you've ever been in our office, you know we've accumulated a lot of
stuff over the years. Lots of copies of old Omens, including a
lifetime supply of the Naked Evan Silberman issue. Lots of copies of
old newspapers that we've outlived. Lots of obsolete technology.
Lots of bizarre doodles from Ben Batchelder that we just kinda left
laying around.
Last layout, we started the process of organizing the office, as well
as revamping our archives. There was an interest among the folks
present in having a separate meeting dedicated to that process. This
also coincides nicely with our plans to have a complete digital
archive of The Omen up online--I'll hopefully have an update about
that in the near future!
So, this coming Thursday February 20th, we'll be having what I'm
calling an archive meeting. Orders of business will be to continue
our cataloging of what issues we have on hand, what issues we have
digital copies of, and what to do with our many, many, MANY spare
copies. Meeting time is at 9:15! NINE-FIFTEEN! Not 8! 9:15! This
is so that folks have the chance to do other things with their
Thursday night. Layout meetings will continue their regular
scheduling. We WILL be ordering food, as well, and in a surprising
change in tradition, it should arrive shortly after the meeting
starts! How exciting!
So that was a longer email than usual. This may or may not be a
regular thing from now on--we'll see where this coming one takes us
and play it by ear from there. In any case, hope to see you there!
