** Earth Day Success!
------------------------------------------------------------
The morning began fueled by dumpster donuts and the music of Plantasia, a recording from 1976 played to help plants grow. A group of students walked into the woods collecting trash (mostly Easter keg hunt and woods party remnants). The findings were upcycled into the tree of art above!
Other events that day included a wild edibles/plant ID hike, Amherst Sustainability Festival Festival volunteering and The Great Turning film screening. Thanks to all who pitched in to make this day ecologically groovy.


** Recycling/composting champs

Hampshire College placed high for colleges/universities participating in the national Recyclemania Tournament. The campus diversion rate was 65.5% recycling/composting compared to landfill, leaving room to grow towards zero waste.
