Tomorrow night (Wed. 2/13) is the first of hopefully a few programs to
be sponsored by the Spiritual Life Office at the Prescott Tavern. This
Wednesday's program is Kirtan. Kirtan is devotional chanting done to
music from the Buddhist tradition. It is lots of fun, generates love,
gratitude and openness. You are welcome to join in the chanting, if you
are comfortable with that (there's nothing in it that is antithetical to
Judaism) or you can just sit, relax and have some snacks while enjoying
the relaxing atmosphere and music.

Snacks and hot/cold drinks will be served. I hope to see you there!

"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."

-Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel
