Hi everyone,
This is a study from Professors Perry Zurn and Erich Pitcher, they are
looking for contributions from members of the trans community at
Hampshire! Just wanted to boost this, and share it with your trans
friends who aren't on our mailing list!
Best,
Your friendly neighborhood signer Jules
Study Title: History of Trans Activism and Trans Inclusive Policies at
Hampshire College
Dear Hampshire Community Members,
I am writing to invite you to participate in a research study that a
colleague and I are conducting, entitled, "History of trans Activism and
trans Inclusive Policies at Hampshire College." We believe you would be
able to provide valuable information about trans activism on Hampshire's
campus (including its historical role in changing name, pronoun, and
bathroom policies over the last decade).
We are asking participants to fill out a brief interest form. Please
click here [1]to fill out the confidential demographics form. In order
to be eligible for participation, you must be:
1. 18 years or older
2. A student, alumnus, staff person (current or previous), or faculty
member (current or previous) of Hampshire College.
Please share this survey with students, friends, and colleagues who a)
are broadly invested in inclusive policies in higher ed and/or the
history of queer and trans activism in the US or b) participated in
revising Hampshire's policies, currently oversee continued revisions to
Hampshire's policies, and/or enjoy the results of these policy changes.
We especially encourage trans, queer, and/or non-binary students to
participate and share their experiences.
Erich and I will be traveling to Hampshire the week of October 2 and
would like to meet with you to discuss your thoughts and experiences.
I look forward to your participation in this research! If you have any
questions, please contact me at pzurn at american.edu or Erich at
erich.pitcher at oregonstate.edu or 541-737-6735 [2].
Sincerely,
Perry
