[Yurt] Welcome Back!/Show Renewal

Hey veteran Yurtfolks, have a good summer? Last semester went swimmingly, and
we're pretty sure that you'll all make F11 just as good if not better. There
are a few things that need to be ironed out, but right now the start date for
the year is looking like it’ll be between the 20th and the 25th of this month.
Excited yet?

(If you’re an interested new DJ who signed up to the list over the summer, we
give precedence to returners in picking slots. It’s best to wait to send in
your show request until we open up the field for you next Wednesday, since some
slots will fill up.)

But before we can start, we’ll need to compile our new fall schedule. To ensure
your spot on it (and to get a chance to pick a time before the new DJs), please
send the following info in an email to radiocontact at hampshire.edu by Friday
(9/9) with your show’s name as the subject:

1. Your show's name. (ex. Sara and Bill's Radio Picnic Hour, The Good Ship
Lollipop, Escape From And/Or To Noise)
2. A brief description of your show including the names of the DJs, for the
calendar. (ex. An hour of discussion, in one form or another, with Mikey and DJ
Lovecraft)
3. Three (3) timeslots in which you'd like to do the show, ranked in order of
preference. If you want it to be every other week, mention that before the days
and times. If one of them is your old slot from S11, put an asterisk next to it
so you'll have a better shot at getting it back. (ex. Every other week, Fridays
10PM-11PM*, Tuesdays 7PM-8PM, or Wednesdays 10PM-11PM)

We'll work our hardest to give you the slot that you want most. If two or more
different shows want the same time, we'll consider how long you’ve been with
the Yurt and whether anyone involved had the slot last year.

If you miss the Friday deadline, don't panic. Just get your info in by next
Tuesday (9/13) and you’ll still be able to pick before the large volume of new
DJs we’re expecting to get the following day at Hampfest. However, we encourage
you to get your request in for Friday because a lot of good slots will be
reserved here and now. Once again, that’s radiocontact at hampshire.edu with your
show’s name in the subject line.

Please note that we're only scheduling one show from each veteran DJ right now
because we're trying to give new DJs a fighting chance at a good slot. If you
want another, please send in a separate request for it during the scheduling
period after Hampfest and we'll try to get it onto the calendar where you want
it.
