[Yurt] IMPORTANT INFO: How am I going to keep my show January/Spring?

The semester is almost up! You guys did fuckin' great. So it's time to
tighten up the schedule.

Just so you know, here at the Yurt you do not automatically keep your
timeslot semester to semester. This is because, in the past, people with
reserved timeslots have ended up not using them for entire semesters.

So what will happen?

An email will be sent out to everyone on the listserv the day before each
semester starts (January 2nd for Jan Term, Jan 25th for Spring term) asking
you to reserve your timeslot.

Precedence will be given to:

1.) Veteran DJ's
2.) Shows wishing to keep the same time slot.

You get three chances to initially reserve your time slot.

After the first email is sent, you'll have four days to get back to us about
when you want to do your show. If you miss that deadline, you're not out of
luck. There will be another deadline set to reserve a timeslot, but you will
have to work around the timeslots reserved by the first deadline.

The process whereby show times are reserved is a complicated, layered,
rolling, tiered system- so to make this simple, you'll have an easier chance
getting a show time the earlier you get to us.

Everyone will start off with a one-hour slot, and once the schedule is
ironed out and students have given ample opportunity to sign up DJ's are
allowed to vouch for additional time.
