I've seen/used a similar product before when working with my brother in
law, who used it to seal up the walls in his shop for winter warmth.
While i can't say i've ever ridden 50 miles on it, it's certainly not
crumbly, and I've beaten on it with various tools before, only to discover
it ignores my efforts. It can be cut with a handsaw, though the
stickiness might be a problem when it comes time to replace worn out
tires. I don't think it is so sticky that we'll be unable to pull it out
of the rims, though, as long as we a) use rim tape so that the foam
doesn't take a liking to the spoke nipples and it has a smoothish surface
to pull off of and b) have a saw and wire cutters on hand to remove worn
out tires.
