Dear Jill,

Young people account for nearly half of all new HIV infections.
Sexual contact accounts for the majority of HIV transmission. But
many HIV prevention programs funded by the U.S. emphasize abstinence
for young people and fail to provide comprehensive, life-saving
information and tools that young people need to make healthy
decisions about their lives.

Here's what you can do. As we approach World AIDS Day on December 1,
we are collecting signatures to present to President Obama and key
officials in his Administration to call for U.S. HIV prevention
policy and programs that meet the needs of young people, including
those living with HIV. We want to ensure that youth are equipped
with medically-accurate information, including correct and consistent
use of female and male condoms; that they have access to
youth-friendly HIV and reproductive health services based on human
rights; and that young people are meaningfully engaged in shaping the
prevention strategies that they receive.

Please join CHANGE and partnering organizations in raising our
voices with and for young people around the world by

your name to our World AIDS Day petition.

Thank you for your solidarity.
