KEEP IN MIND: This conference overlaps with the annual CLPP conference, which
runs from Thursday April 4th-Saturday the 5th. BUT, there are options you can
see on the website to do a one-day institute on either Wednesday(before CLPP)
or Saturday.
IMPORTANT: If you know you are interested in attending and you want to get
funding, please reply to this email <DKF06 at hampshire.edu> ASAP with your name
and the dates you want to attend. Please indicate whether you want to
attend the full conference from Wed-Sat, OR there is an option available to do a
one day institute on either Wednesday or Saturday. Make sure you are clear about
when
you want to go so we can get you paid for accordingly. Please be timely, we must
confirm and get this done by the beginning of next week.
*The Funding for this Conference is coming from various offices on campus,
including Ficom, the President's Office, CPSC, student group contributions,
house offices, and others... a number of students in WARF(white anti-racist
folx) have intiated the funding process, though the conference is open to ALL
Hampshire students. This conference has an array or programming for people of
various and intersecting identities. We are trying to push the college to
support conferences like this to educate as many Hampshire students as possible
about racism, particularly in the context of whiteness, in an effort to move
forward with anti-racist/anti-opression initiatives.

Conference Description:
The annual White Privilege Conference (WPC) serves as a yearly
opportunity to examine and explore difficult issues related to white
privilege, white supremacy and oppression. WPC provides a forum for
critical discussions about diversity, multicultural education and
leadership, social justice, race/racism, sexual orientation, gender
relations, religion and other systems of privilege/oppression. WPC is
recognized as a challenging, empowering and educational experience.
The workshops, keynotes and institutes not only inform participants,
but engage and challenge them, while providing practical tips and
