dearest sisters,
hope everyone's fall break went well and folks are coping/dealing with mid-term
stress and being on top of mostly everything. there's just so much overload. so
we're going to have dinner tomorrow as a way to relax and eat good food and get
a chance to check in with each other and find ways to support each other in
this community. we've invited kara lynch (video professor - HACU) to join us
for dinner and engage in conversation about intersectional identity and what it
means to unpack that, both in this school (hi hampshire) and in the real world
(outside of the bubble).
please join us, to eat delicious food and bring all the facets of your identity
to the table and let's talk about problematizing that and breaking it down and
having a riveting dynamic real conversation that is both empowering and helpful
in understanding each other and ourselves a little better than before.
please rsvp to me (hn07 at hampshire.edu) by noon tomorrow so that we know how much
food to order.
lots of love,
your beautiful signers.
kara lynch is assistant professor of video production and criticism at
hampshire college. she is a video, sound and performance artist. she works with
artist collectives and is a strong believer in working in collaborations.
