JAM FOR JUSTICE BENEFIT CONCERT
Thursday, October 23rd, 2008
7PM-12 AM, Student Union Ballroom, UMass Campus
A benefit concert will be held on Thursday, 10/23/08, at 7pm in the Student
Union Ballroom at UMass Amherst for Jason Vassell. The evening starts with
food catered by SalsaRengue Restaurant, a performance by The Welfare Poets,
a spoken word group out of NYC, followed by a RAFFLE featuring various items
donated by local businesses. There will also be a DJ and dancing. This
event is open to everyone within the community who supports Justice for
Jason. Because this is a fundraiser we do ask that you stand with us in
supporting Jason by providing a suggested donation of $10 for Students/Youth
& a suggested $20 donation from Faculty/Staff/Community members. ALL
proceeds from this benefit concert will go toward Jason's legal fees, which
total more than $20,000. If you are interested in volunteering to help with
the event, or have any questions, please contact us at
justiceforjason at gmail.com.
Thanks again for all your help -

Organizing Committee for Justice for Jason Vassell
P.S: The J4J Outreach Committee has created an 'Outreach Packet' to help
folks outreach in their communities. It includes updated petitions,
donation letters, Jam for Justice flyers (color full sheets and b/w quarter
sheets), and informational pamphlets. We would be more than happy to drop
one off for you at Hampshire if you are interested.
