[Newleaf] Bulb Brigade Canceled for Tonight

Hello Bulb Brigade,

As hardcore as it would be to distribute LED bulbs in the middle of a  
hurricane, I am going to postpone our scheduled mission for this  
evening.  I also don't have access to more LED bulbs due to the  
closing of offices on campus, so that also hinders our ability to do  
anything.

I plan to play it by ear as far as distribution goes this week.  The  
storm is looking pretty bad right now, but if it calms down tomorrow  
we might go out on Wednesday and do some exchanging.  Assuming it  
isn't too bad, New Leaf should be meeting tomorrow, so feel free to  
bring bulbs there if you want to exchange them.  Stay tuned for  
updates on the meeting, though.

Also, just to put it on people's radars, the distribution table in the  
library lobby this past Saturday didn't work out so well because we  
are out of bulbs for the moment.  However, I did tell the few people  
who showed up that we would reschedule the table for the same time  
next Saturday, November 3rd.  I however cannot be there this Saturday,  
as I have signed up for an all-day Wilderness First Aid training  
course that meets both days that weekend.  So I would be eternally  
grateful if a few people could volunteer to run the table from 3pm-5pm  
on 11/3.  It's super-low-key, you can sit at the table in the library  
lobby and do your homework and we only need one or two people, you can  
even break it into shifts.  If people show up with bulbs, you just  
exchange the bulb for them and write down what their location is so we  
can keep updating the google doc.  I'm also hoping to do a little  
raffle to get people into it, I'm thinking just raffle off a fair  
trade chocolate bar which I can provide.  So maybe each person who  
shows up gets their name and PO box written down if they want to enter.

We can talk more at the meeting tomorrow night, as long as the college  
isn't in a state of emergency.  Stay tuned.
