Hello,

My name is Patrick, I work on economic and social justice campaigns with students at colleges in WMass, I am currently on leave from Boston University. I met many of you or members of your organizations at club fairs and other events this semester.  Wanted to share two really important events this Saturday that I hope your or members of your organization can attend!

Student Activist Socializer
Saturday, 8:30 pm
Amherst Brewing Company (you don't have to be 21)
10 University Drive, Amherst, MA

Chance to meet other student activists and organizers from the Five Colleges as well as student leaders from around the country active in the United States Student Association.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn what students are doing on campuses about important issues (student debt, climate justice, defending diversity, women's empowerment, immigrant rights , LGBTQIA rights, student-worker solidarity, free speech on campus, and more).  How can we collaborate together and build the relationships we need for a strong student movement?  By getting to know each other first!

Colleges Against Climate Silence Rally
Saturday, December 1st, 2 pm

Amherst Center, Amherst, MA
Facebook Event (invite everyone you know!)

Students at the Five Colleges are demanding their colleges divest from fossil fuels and send a message that we need action on the climate change now.  I'm a economic justice organizer and I don't know of any issue more important to social justice and human rights, here and abroad, than how we combat climate change and transition to a new green economy.  Join in and let's put justice front and center!

Please reply if you are interested in either event, I would love to see you and/or your group present!  And feel free to email me if you have questions about my specific work in the student movement.

Solidarity,
