Students joining with the community to break the silence concerning climate
change and defending our future by vocalizing our passion and taking action
to combat current climate change nationally and globally.

something we need to inlcude is RAIDING AWARNESS AND CREATING A COLLECTIVE
PIONEER VALLEY COMMUNITY THAT CARES Join the conversation ! this will be a
forum and event to make connections

*PLAN OF EVENTS:*


   - circle the green holding hands THIS IS OUR GOAL...TO HAVE ENOUGH
   PEOPLE TO CIRCLE THE GREEN!
   - moment or minute of silence
   - physically and collectively break the silence (with a chant/song/etc)
   - 5 student speakers one from each school each nominated by their school
   and discussing a individual topic. WE NEED TO SET A TIME LIMIT
   - (if we are planning on inviting all the other colleges in the area
   should we have a student speaker from those schools too?)
   - Open mic for testimonials WHY DO YOU CARE? PERSONAL CLIMATE CHANGE
   EXPERIENCE. WE NEED TO SET A TIME LIMIT
   - Local Environmental Organizations having booths and tables SOMEONE
   NEEDS TO CONTACT THEM

Define Climate Silence
Demeanor of group: professional and serious
How do we measure if we are successful? Did we reach people?
We are addressing political leaders, academic institutions, and the
American people
Show Climate Change as a manageable issue: offer options and solutions
National level: Deman 350 as ppm CO2 in atmosphere, and we need legislation
to cut emission to 350
Local level: Divest our colleges from Fossil Fuels!
