Dear student activists,
Please circulate to your lists:

This year's annual Eric Schocket Memorial Lecture is titled "DEMOCRACY, OCCUPY
and DEBT-FINANCED EDUCATION" and will be given by ANDREW ROSS, MONDAY APRIL
16th at 4 pm in the Main Lecture Hall.

Ross is a well known American Studies scholar who has recently been at the
center of Occupy organizing around the issue of student debt and the financing
of education. A long time organizer in the academic labor movement, his recent
books include REAL LOVE: IN PURSUIT OF CULTURAL JUSTICE, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN
GET IT, and BIRD ON FIRE: LESSONS FROM THE WORLD'S LEAST SUSTAINABLE CITY.

Please encourage your members, friends, and colleagues to come to this timely
and relevant event!
