Community Organizing and Public Art Intern
The Northampton Tuesday Market, a farmers market in downtown Northampton is
looking for a Community Organizing and Public Art Intern to organize weekly
art projects and assist with the FoodStampsX2 program at the market.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, comfortable working
with people of all ages and who can see a project through from start to
finish.

We need someone who can commit to missing no more than 3 markets, who can
help with set-up and take-down of market tents and tables, can staff the
EBT machine and explain how to use tokens at the market, track the number
of market goers, can plan and budget art projects that will run for two
weeks each – including procuring materials, can work with another intern
and general market community.

The Tuesday Market runs May 1st – November 20th (30 markets).
This position is unpaid, however interns will receive produce from the
market and references at the end of the internship. Our preference is for a
full-season intern.


Community Organizing and Food Accessibility Intern
The Northampton Tuesday Market, a farmers market in downtown Northampton is
looking for a Community Organizing and Food Accessibility Intern to assist
with market outreach, register people for SNAP Benefits, help facilitate
the FoodStampsX2 Program and provide food justice resources to the market
community.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, comfortable working
with people of all ages and who can see a project through from start to
finish.

We need someone who can commit to missing no more than 3 markets, who can
help with set-up and take-down of market tents and tables, can staff the
EBT machine and explain how to use tokens at the market, track the number
of market goers, can assist with market outreach, can provide food justice
resources, can support and assist market goers in planning their own food
events, can work with another intern and general market community.

A component of this internship will be being trained to register people for
SNAP Benefits, as well as conducting research about the use of SNAP
Benefits in other market communities.
