A great Yiddish program -- and Professor Justin Cammy of Smith College
is running it this summer (full disclosure: he is my partner!).
Have a great break everyone,
Rachel

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the dates of the upcoming Naomi Prawer Kadar
International Yiddish Summer Program at Tel Aviv University:
JUNE 30 TO JULY 25, 2019. It's a vibrant program in a lively city, and
we hope you will encourage your students to join us.
Inspired by the extraordinary students we have hosted in previous years,
the continuous high enrollment (over 110 participants from 16 countries
in 2018),
the dedication of our teaching staff, and the generous commitment of the
Naomi Foundation, we look forward to once again hosting students from
around
the world and throughout Israel this summer. We are the only program
that offers Yiddish instruction at six levels, as well as a rich
afternoon cultural program
in an exciting urban center.
We would appreciate your circulating the attached information among your
colleagues and students and please let them know that we have
SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS JOINING US FROM ABROAD.
This summer we will be continuing our Yiddish immersion events and our
unique Graduate Student Forum for masters and doctoral students to share
their
research projects. The summer program includes an afternoon lecture
series by leading experts in Yiddish studies, evening concerts,
excursions to sites and
institutions relevant to Yiddish culture, music and conversation
workshops, and more.
We invite you to take a look at this short video to hear what our
students had to say about the program this past summer:

This year Professor Justin Cammy of Smith College will serve as Summer
Director. The following is his article in _In geveb_, devoted to our
summer program.

Many of our best students learned about us from their teachers or
colleagues, so we thank you for your support in the past and we ask for
your help
with enrollment for this summer.
