Dear colleagues,

PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR STUDENTS WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN HOLOCAUST
STUDIES:

THE WEISS-LIVNAT INTERNATIONAL MA PROGRAM IN HOLOCAUST STUDIES IS
EMPHASIZING TRAINING IN HOLOCAUST EDUCATION IN MUSEUM SETTINGS.

Our students have opportunities to intern in museums as well as to
curate special projects and traveling exhibits.

Since our first year, we have had multiple students interning in museums
across the country. You can read about PAUL'S INTERNSHIP AT YAD VASHEM
here:

This year our students have participated in a special project at Atlit
Detention Center HERITAGE SITE. The aims of the project was to
familiarize students with conceptual and practical aspects of historical
representation at a heritage site, while providing them with a unique
opportunity for practical experience in curating. See this link for more
information about the project:

In 2014, our students worked with the Carl Lutz Foundation to create a
TRAVELING EXHIBIT, which presents different ways to teach the Holocaust
to multi-cultural audiences around the world. You can read about our
students' project here:

Our students also have the opportunity to learn about museums through
the course "HOLOCAUST MUSEUMS: THREE CONTINENTS, THREE GENERATIONS"
taught by Dr. Stephanie Shosh Rotem. The course explores the history,
exhibitions, and design of various Holocaust museums around the world as
well as their social, cultural and political agendas. See this link for
the course's syllabus:
