[Jewish] TODAY! Intimacy with Words 3:15PM; Off-Campus JCA Singing Shabbat! 5:30PM

Dear all,

Join us TODAY! for INTIMACY WITH WORDS: 
Torah/Hebrew Bible study with Ellen Bernstein and the JSU begins TODAY, OCT 17th at 3:15 in the Spiritual LIfe office.  
Reading Torah is not like reading a book; its more like chewing on words.  The Torah provides and entry point for meaningful conversation and the flowering of wisdom and compassion.

We will be meeting weekly on Friday afternoons and Tuesday afternoons.

Friday group (3:15 PM) is open to anyone regardless of background and No Hebrew is necessary.  All are welcome.  This is a drop-in group so feel free to come whenever you can make it.

Tuesday group (3 PM) is open to anyone who has some comfort level reading Hebrew.

Both groups meet in the Spiritual Life office.

then, the JSU will be traveling off-campus TODAY at 5:55! for the Jewish Community of Amherst (JCA)'s SINGING SHABBAT! 
Join the JSU in traveling off campus for a short, lively service.
