To anyone who's here during break:
Today at 3 pm I need help moving the corn stalk skakh (sukkah roof
covering) from the "Sweet Harvest Festival" site at the Yiddish Book
Center over to our sukkah in the Merrill Quad. If anyone can help, I'd
really appreciate it. Just meet me on the grounds of the book center a
little after 3. If you can't find me, please call me on my cell at
215-514-3463.
Also, if anyone would like to gather tonight for 1st night Sukkot dinner
in the Sukkah in Merrill Quad please e-mail me back so I can make sure
there's enough food. If you live in a mod and can make or bring
something dairy or pareve that would be great. We can make it a
semi-potluck! I'll check my e-mail around 4:30 to see how much I need
to get. If you can't RSVP in time (or if you forget) and want to join
in, why don't we meet in the Sukkah at 6:00. I'm sure there will be
enough food! I hope to see some of you then.
And don't forget about the Sweet Harvest Festival from 11-3, including a
poetry open mike (in the "Sukkot Out Loud" tent) hosted by our own
Sophia Holtz at 1:45. Show your Hampshire student ID and you don't have
to pay the entrance fee for the festival.
Chag Sameakh/Happy Holiday,
SPN

/"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."/
