[Jewish] Is Rosh Hashanah here already?

Well, of course, the answer is No. However, we hope to be able to have
our own Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services this coming fall on
campus. That means we'll need a lot of input from people to make them
services that will be meaningful and uplifting for as many people as
possible.

In order to begin this process, I'd like to ask ANYONE who is interested
in planning, participating, etc. in ANY way (no matter how big or
small) to e-mail me ASAP so I can begin to put together a list. In your
reply, also let me know when you will be leaving campus. That way I can
decide if there's still time to put together some kind of very
preliminary planning meeting.

Luckily, Rosh Hashanah will be late this year, so we'll have time when
we get back in the fall. I look forward to hearing from many of you.

Shalom,

SPN

"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."
