Please join us this Thursday in the Merrill Living and Dining Room for a
fascinating program:

_Beyond Male and Female: Gender and the Creation of Humanity_

Explore what classical Jewish texts have to teach us about the creation
of humanity and the concept of gender. If you think God only created
male and female in the creation story, the ancient rabbis thought
differently!

So join Rabbi Sarra Lev, Ph.D. of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical
College in PA and noted expert on Judaism, Gender and Rabbinic texts for
this thought-provoking program.
You don't have to be queer, trans or Jewish to learn from and enjoy the
program ... so pass on the info to anyone you think might be interested.

Thursday March 28
5:30 PM
Merrill Living Room
dinner from Fresh Side will be served

"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."

-Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel
