Here's the updated information on the conference:

NUJLS (National Union of Jewish Lesbians, Gay, Transgendered, Intersex
and Queer Students) is having its annual conference at Columbia
University, Barnard and the Jewish Theological Seminary February 8-10.
Go to www.nujlsonline.org to get more info and to register.

They have announced that the conference fee is $60. If you'd like to
go, but can't afford the fee or travel, please let me know. There is
financial assistance available. Also, even if you don't need
assistance, if you're driving (or if you need a ride) please let me know
and I can arrange carpools. Thanks.

"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."

-Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel
