transgender, intersexed, questioning and queer students from around the
world will descend on sunny and beautiful Los Angeles for the seventh annual
NUJLS Conference! This year's conference will include high-profile speakers,
great entertainment, group bonding activities, sharing of stories, exciting
learning and discussion sessions based on Jewish/LGBTIQQ issues, and festive
Shabbat meals and activities.

Previous conferences have included everything from creating Jewish
coming-out rituals to campus political organizing, from Shabbat singing to
nights on the town.  Whether you're partnered or single, newly out or been
out since birth, whether your Judaism is bagels and lox or you can read the
Torah upside-down, there's a comfortable place for Jews and Jews-by-choice
of every background.

The conference is organized by student leaders from the National Union of
Jewish Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Intersexed, Queer, and
Questioning Students in addition to students from local Los Angeles schools.
It will be taking place on the campus of the University of California, Los
Angeles at the Yitzhak Rabin Hillel Center for Jewish Student Life at UCLA.

The registration fee includes local housing in Los Angeles, kosher meals,
and all conference materials. The conference will start in the early
afternoon on Friday, April 4th, and will end mid-day on Sunday, April 6th.

So, escape the winter shivers in sunny Los Angeles and explore ritzy Rodeo
Drive, the beautiful beaches of the Pacific Ocean, and the night life of
West Hollywood. This years conference is going to be a blast!

Thanks to a generous grant from International Hillel, UMass is one of four
campuses selected to launch an amazing Israel leadership program for spring
semester 2003. We are looking for 12-15 student interns who have strong
leadership potential and a desire to build their program skills and
knowledge of Israel. We will meet approximately 8 times during the semester
for training and project implementation. Our goal is to work together to

9. Summer and Fall 2003 Internships

The Consulate General of Israel to New England is looking for motivated,
responsible students with a knowledge of Israel. Knowledge of Hebrew is a
plus.

Internships are available in two different departments: Press and Media
Relations, and the Information Department. Students may apply for either
one. More information as well as applications can be found on our website

We are now looking for students for the Summer and Fall 2003 internships.
Please note that interviews for Fall internships are conducted in the spring
so that students can be present for interviews. Fall applications will not
