THE SPITZER FORUM provides Jewish college activists with opportunities to
sharpen their social justice skills through meetings and workshops with leading
experts in politics, community service and international relations.

The Spitzer Forum is held in conjunction with the Jewish Council for Public
Affairs (JCPA) Plenum. Hunger, homelessness, the environment, advocacy,
grassroots organizing, children, social justice in Israel and literacy are just
a few of the topics that students can explore through various workshops,
speakers, and skill-building sessions.

Students may choose to take part in sessions offered by the Coalition on the
Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL) Institute and
the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) Plenum taking place concurrently
with the Spitzer Forum. Students interested in becoming involved in public
policy as journalists can choose to participate in a smaller, specialized track
co-sponsored by the American Jewish Press Association.
