[Jewish] Tikkun Olam

Hi all~

I hope everyone is having a fabulous break!  While being at home, I've stumbled 
upon my old Tzedakah box and started thinking that it might be good if the JSU 
started doing a weekly Tzedakah collection, maybe just by having everyone bring 
thier spare change and tossing it into a box before candle-lighting on 
Fridays.  Then at the end of the year we can put it all together and write a 
check for charity, like many synagogue Hebrew Schools do.  Also I was thinking 
maybe we should organize doing some sort of volunteer work as a group.  What 
does everyone think?

P.S. I'd be happy to buy/make a Tzedakah box if need be.
