Dear Signers,

Thank you for contributing to our community by being a leader for one or
more Hampshire student groups. We appreciate your cooperation in filling
out the online student group request for 2014 - 2015 academic year
recognition. Campus Leadership and Activities is pleased to announce the
current and previously recognized student groups listed below have
already been *APPROVED*.

*THE RECOGNITION STATUS OF OTHER GROUPS NOT LISTED, INCLUDING ALL NEWLY
PROPOSED GROUPS, IS STILL PENDING BASED ON THEIR NEED FOR FURTHER
ASSESSMENT.* We will maintain communication with signers via email as we
continue processing student group requests.

*IMPORTANT: NEW FOR 2014-2015 ACADEMIC YEAR - ELECTRONIC WAIVERS*
Beginning in the fall of 2014, all student group activities waivers at
Hampshire College will be electronic and will include all risk
management required information and safety requirements for each student
group. This feature eliminates the need for groups to submit risk
information at this time since it will be done in the fall. Membership
in any student group will require a signed waiver before participation
in group activities. A unique waiver must be completed for each student
group an individual is a member of.

*ALL SIGNERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND SIGNER SEMINAR, OUR LEADERSHIP
TRAINING IN SEPTEMBER, OFFICIAL DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.* You will receive
additional information about Signer Seminar closer to September. Your
student group will not receive funding unless all of your signers attend
this training.

Student groups must also have representation at Hampfest. Hampfest is
Hampshire College's Student Activities Fair, held at the beginning of
each semester, official date to be announced. It is an occasion for
student groups to present themselves to the wider Hampshire community
and to recruit and involve members of the community in their
organizations. 

If a signer changes over the summer, just have the new person attend
Signer Seminar and update the group's Hampedia page with the accurate
signer information. Change of Signer Forms are only required after
Signer Seminar during the academic year.

We appreciate your leadership role as signers and look forward to an
exciting year ahead helping student groups continue to build community
and offer resources to the campus!
