Info from Maine Law School. We'll forward this info to the listserv as
it is sent to us from schools. FYI

Hello!

I recently took on the role of Director of Admissions at Maine Law and
am a proud alumna. I would like to introduce myself and let you know
about the University of Maine
School of Law Open House on November 7th
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=697&eid=19053>. I
invite you and your students to attend.

I am excited to now be working in law school admissions and look forward
to getting to know you as that vital counselor to students and alumni
who are considering a career in the law.

Maine Law
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=696&eid=19053> is
unique. Here are just a few reasons:

• Students get a high quality legal education at an affordable price
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=695&eid=19053>.

• Portland, Maine
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=694&eid=19053> is a
beautiful place to live. We’ve been named one of the top cities in the
country by numerous organizations, including Forbes.com, which named
Portland America’s “most livable city.”

• Maine Law is intentionally one of the smallest law schools in the
country in order to provide a supportive and dynamic student-centered
atmosphere
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=693&eid=19053>. There
is a strong sense of community within the law school and with the
community at large.

• We have outstanding faculty
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=692&eid=19053> engaged
in innovative scholarship.

• Classes are small with a diverse array of course offerings
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=691&eid=19053>.

• Students have numerous leadership opportunities, whether you serve as
an editor on the Maine Law Review, or the Ocean and Coastal Law
Journal; or on the Moot Court Board; or as part of one of the many
student organizations.

• Students have access to a multitude of opportunities to gain hands-on
experience
<http://www.mainelawalum.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=690&eid=19053> through
summer fellowship programs, clinical programs, and externships.

Please let me know if you would like any additional information about
the open house, or any other aspect of our program. I would love to hear
from you and talk with you about the advantages of beginning a legal
career with the University of Maine School of Law.

Best regards,

Carrie
Caroline Wilshusen, Director of Admissions
