Internship Opportunities

Our firm is seeking bright, dedicated college students who would like to
gain valuable experience in the field of immigration law through our
internship program.

Interns may work on administrative duties, case work or a combination of
both. Each intern is associated with a team and assigned a mentor to
help with the intern's development and workload. Interns perfom legal
assistance on various cases and under the supervision of an attorney and
paralegal.

Administrative duties include: Answering multi-line phones, filing,
greeting clients, preparing, assembling, and proofing mail, general
office upkeep, and other clerical duties.

Case work duties include: Filling out immigration forms, preparing
petitions to USCIS, processing client documents, updating the case file,
using Department of Labor databases, and performing research on
specialized topics.

First, second and third year undergraduate students are highly
encouraged to apply. The minimum internship term is one semester with a
minimum of 15 hours per week. Interns may have the option of
continuation depending on performance. Students will be paid an hourly
wage commensurate with experience. College credit may also be possible.

We are especially interested in a candidate with strong writing and
research skills, a multidisiplinary background, and the ability to work
independently and in a team environment. Ability to efficiently and
accurately perform data entry is essential.

Our program operates in three (3) sessions per year (Fall/Spring/Summer)
and start dates align (approximately) with the 5 College Consortium
Academic Calendar. Applications will be accepted until the position(s)
are filled.

We suggest using the following schedule for applying:

Fall Session: Apply between July and August. Interviews begging late
August to early September.

Spring Session: Apply December. Interviews beginning late December to
mid January.

Summer Session*: Apply April. Interviews beginning in May.

To apply, email resume, cover letter, and short (2-4 page) writing
sample to internship at curranberger.com

Note: We will absolutely not accept phone calls or drop-ins regarding
the program.

* Please also note that we DO NOT have any openings for the summer of 2012.
