This announcement is from an alum, Robert Penn. He is NOT the contact for the
internship; applicants need to apply through the Chambers. However, Robert
says that students can contact him if they want to hear more about what the
internship might entail, or what the judge is like. "Robert C. Penn, Jr."

He says:
I'll be working for a federal Magistrate Judge next year, and he is
looking for college interns for the summer to work in downtown
Manhattan. I've included it below. He is a great Judge and mentor.
I was an intern in chambers last spring. While I did more legal work, it looks
like some of the duties for the undergraduates will overlap. Filing
doesn't sound too interesting, but hanging out in court and watching
hearings can be great for anyone thinking of law school.
Also, you can see the Judge has a strong social justice background, and I
bet he would be very interested in a Hampshire type.
Hope all is well.
regards,
Robert
