Editorial Associate

Founded in 2003, the Center on Law and Security at NYU School of Law is a 
non-partisan research and policy institute that is committed to examining the 
legal dimensions of counterterrorism and national security in the age of 
terror. The Center brings together national and international experts including 
policymakers, law enforcement officials, legal scholars, journalists and others 
in an arena that generates local, national, and international awareness of 
security issues.

The Editorial Associate will report to the Executive Director of the Center. 
The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited 
to):

Managing workflow on all Center publications, including The NYU Review of Law 
and Security, For the Record, Terrorist Trial Report Cards, and books as well 
as other publications

Assisting with the proofreading, design and editing of articles, transcripts, 
books, and other written material

Working closely with production staff, graphic designer and printer to ensure 
smooth copy flow



Qualifications:
Excellent writing and editing skills

Mac proficient; knowledge of InDesign helpful

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Interest in current events

Must have editorial experience
