Hi Everyone,
I am writing to tell you about an facilitated open dialogue in response to
the
recent Climax article "Will The Real Feminists Please Stand Up?" The
dialogue
is planned for this Wednesday (2/23) at 8pm in the East Lecture Hall. We
hope
to discuss the issues brought forth by the article such as

•With the title of this discussion being Humor vs. Hurt, we want to address
the
issue of The Feminists claiming to execute satire in their work. Can we come
to
a definition of satire? What are some guidelines that need to be followed?

•The perpetuation of sexual violence through the lyrics of The Feminists,
and
the fact that we are living in a rape culture.

•The issue of privilege, and how things like this come to be.

•The issue of The Feminists affiliating themselves with Hampshire, and
claiming
to represent the college with the existence of victims and survivors.

•As well as any other issues you deem worthy to bring into this space.

We would like to have as much participation as possible from all different
groups. So if you know someone who may be interested please pass this on!
