[Clusterusers] using the scratch or temporary directories

Zvi,

There's a /tmp on each node (local to the node)... I use that but I'm 
not really sure about the bigger configuration issues... or what 
/scratch is, etc.... Hopefully someone who knows more will also chime 
in.
