Just a reminder about this event tonight, Lessons from Div III Land. 
You'll hear from 3 relatively recent graduates about their div III
journeys.  All divisions are welcome.  See the attached flyer, or read

Andre Bradley

Andre Bradley lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. He is a graduate of
Ithaca College (MFA 2020) the Maryland Institute College of Art (MFA
2020) and the Rhode Island School of Design (MFA 2015). During his
studies at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Bradley was named a
George Ciscle Scholar in Curatorial Practice, and during his studies
at the Rhode Island School of Design, Bradley was named a president's
scholar and a recipient of the T.C. Colley Award for Photographic
Excellence, which ultimately led to his work becoming part of the
permanent collection at the RISD Museum of Art. His book Dark Archives
was shortlisted for the Photo-Text Book Award at Les Recontres De La
Photographie and the Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation First PhotoBook
Award, both in 2016. He has been a fellow at the Arc Baltimore, Image
Text Ithaca, and the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.

Bang Pham

Division III Title: Art is a Verb - The Significance of Arts Education
and After-School Programs in Holyoke, MA

Current job title: 4th Grade Inclusion Teacher at Boston Public Schools

Graduate degrees: Master's of Education in Moderate Disabilities from
Boston College

Bang Pham is an educator in Boston Public Schools. He was born in
Vietnam but grew up in Dorchester, MA and identifies as
Vietnamese-American. Bang is a proud graduate of Boston Public
Schools. He received his bachelor's in studio arts and urban education
from Hampshire College in 2013. During his time in college he
volunteered at an after-school program in Holyoke, MA which later
became the focus of his Div 3 project. Bang found his life's passion
working with young people there and is forever grateful to the
community of Holyoke. After graduation, he completed a year of service
through Americorps and then went on to acquire his master's of
education in moderate disabilities from Boston College. He has been
working as a fourth grade teacher ever since. Inspired by his Div 3,
Bang continues to teach in an after-school program because he wants to
work with amazing students from other grade levels and build
meaningful relationships outside of the classroom.

Celeste Davidson

Division III Title : Growing Pains: A Portrait of Black Women's Health
in South Los Angeles

Current Occupation :  Special Services Interventionist and Grade Level
Chair

Graduate School :  Currently a graduate student at Loyola Marymount
University's Master's of Counseling

Celeste (13F) is a recent Hampshire College and James Baldwin Scholar
alum and first generation college student. Her Division III, Growing
Pains: A Portrait of Black Women's Health in South Los Angeles, is a
creative narrative and critical analysis of the social determinants of
health that impact what it means to be "well" as a low-income black
woman in South Central.

Currently, she is a Special Services Interventionist and Grade Level
Chair (overseeing Grade 10) at Collegiate Charter High School of Los
Angeles. Starting in 2017, she began developing an advisory and
college readiness program at her organization that supports students
with building a college-going identity, developing social and academic
skills, and learning coping skills to help them identify, express, and
regulate their emotions. Through anti-biased social-emotional based
programming, she has supported school leadership with reducing
suspensions by over 97% and advanced the school's mission of preparing
all students for success in college and beyond. 98% of the seniors
that have engaged in this programming have been accepted to college
with over $1.6 million in scholarships over the last two years.

She is entering her final year of Loyola Marymount University's
Master's of Counseling with a focus on earning her PPS in School
Counseling in addition to her License in Professional Clinical
Counseling (LPCC), and will be starting her fieldwork this fall. She
is most passionate about improving health and wellness outcomes for
Black and non-Black youth of color through the development of a
trauma-responsive and mindful counseling practice.

Trauma, Creative Writing

Jesus Colmenares

Division III Title: Memory in Schizotypy

Occupation: Business Development Manager at HealthCore

Jesus Colmenares is the Business Development Manager at HealthCore,
the clinical outcomes research subsidiary of Anthem, Inc. In this
capacity he leads the development of large, complex proposals to
various government agencies, academic institutions, foundations and
life sciences companies for clinical research. Prior to his current
position, he served  as the Director of Contracts and Grants for New
England Research Institute, a clinical research organization  (CRO)
focused on health research. He recently served as a Board member for
the Latino Professional Network and currently serves as Alumni Trustee
on the Board of Trustees for Hampshire College. Mr. Colmenares holds a
degree in Neuroscience from Hampshire College and is a James Baldwin
Scholar Alum.  His Division III work, titled "Memory in Schizotypy"
was an event-related potential (ERP) cognitive science study that
explored language and memory in schizophrenia through a preventative
model.
