Hi everyone,
The Total Immersion Sign Language Program is coming up on February 19-23 in
Connecticut. Am I excited? Well, I grew up waiting for summer vacation
each year...now I wait for February because of Total Immersion! It's a
5-day program, classes all day, fun and games all night, all in ASL! It's
$560 but if you really want to learn ASL and want to experience Deaf
culture, it's a bargain. This is the 30th year of this program, the
teachers are mostly from American School for the Deaf and they've perfected
this experience. There is no voicing for five days and four nights!
Similar programs have been attempted in Washington State and Arizona but
Connecticut is the original and the best. They accept only 50 students each
year on a first come first served basis so it helps to get in your
application as soon as possible. All levels of signing are accepted, there
are even a few brave beginners each year!
So...see the attachment for details and the application. Please pass this
on to anyone who might be interested. If you can't make it this year, now
you know about it, start saving your money for next year!
Please let me know if you have any questions! I can't say enough good
things about this amazing program!
Lorraine
