Hey all,

This is some Hampshire alums who live in the area. They're about to tour this
show around Vermont and offered to do a show at Hampshire next weekend.
Something wonderful to look forward to after the first week of getting back
into it (or working to get out of it as the case may be).

anyhow, love always,
otis

The Royal Frog Ballet
proudly presents their winter show:

THE YEAR OF WANTING
A Very Small Shadow Show About The Depths Of Hell

THE YEAR OF WANTING is a hand-cranked, candle illuminated shadow show,
based primarily on the Greek myth of Persephone, and including elements from
other winter myths and folktales. Poetic, dark, and moving, the show riffs
on all things cold and snowy, using live original music, elements from
butoh, fan dancing, and traditional storytelling.

Created and performed by Hampshire alumni Sarah Blackwell, Sophie Wood, and
Matt Lorenz, THE YEAR OF WANTING is highly portable, very small, and unlike
anything you've seen before....or is it? The show will be followed by tea
and cookies, and a talkback. Feel free to bring your favorite mug
and something soft to sit on.

Saturday, January 31st at 7:30 in the Centrum Gallery
Hampshire College, Amherst MA

Sincerely,

Sarah Blackwell, Sophie Wood, and Matt Lorenz

THE ROYAL FROG BALLET is an amoeba of collaborators, a producing body, a
shouting household of households, a burning bundle of desires, and an
aspiring dance team in search of parade. They create performance and
installation art for community gatherings.
