**********COME TO BOSTON FOR BIOJUSTICE 2007************
>From MAY 6th to MAY 9th the biotechnology industry is bringing thousands of
executives, lawyers, public relations people and corporate scientists to Boston
to promote their agenda of genetically engineered food, unaffordable high-tech
medicines and dangerous 'biodefense' research that increases the threat of new
biological weapons. Hosted in Boston's new Convention and exhibition center
this is the largest international gathering of its kind! The State of Michigan,
the government of Australia, amongst others will be hosting nightime events
throughout the city to cozy up to these corporate executives. Make your
presence known!
SAY NO to Genetically Engineered Food, Corporate Drug Monopolies and Biological
Weapons!
Genetically Modified Seeds and their subsequent crops are undermining local food
economies throughout the globe. By making farms more dependent on cheap GMO
seeds they are also more dependent on dangerous amounts of full spectrum
insecticides and herbicides that kill all plants but those engineered
specifically to survive them, including the crops of neighboring
community/local farmers.
If the community land can't be bought, it will be starved from beneath their
working hands.
This is not only an issue of Environmental Justice, but of a Community's right
to thrive upon which they live.
