==========================
get ready....
this monday, right after spring break, is the official release day for all
the yellowbikes that have been chained up over the winter, itching for
pavement.
why they've been missing: physical plant doesn't like to run over
yellowbikes with snowplows, but they do anyway sometimes, and it's a
hassle for them to remove bikes from the paths during times of snow. so
we've waited.
how yellowbike release works: at noon on Monday you come behind the RCC,
and hop on a bike for a wild ride around campus on all the newly fixed
yellowbikes. we'll ride around campus in a mostly chaotic fashion, honking
bike horns and dinging bells. everyone is welcome, even if you've never
ridden a yellowbike before.
if you have a bike, or if you find a yellowbike hanging out, ride it to
the rcc so if there aren't enough yellow bikes we can all still ride.
wear any costume you want, bring any parade item/puppet/banner that you
think might be appropriate for a bunch of folks celebrating community,
bicycles, car-free-ness, and yellowbike style.
======
starting on friday we'll start fixing the bikes up again. come between
11:00 am and 3:00 pm to fix bikes with friends, meet good people, or learn
the quirky mechanics of yellobike maintenance.
stay rubber side down,
