From hjc10 at hampshire.edu Fri May 2 10:16:19 2014 From: hjc10 at hampshire.edu (Hamlet Cooper) Date: Fri, 02 May 2014 10:16:19 -0400 Subject: [Grin] meeting, genderf**k, and a few other things Message-ID: <25d18d9633f7253df11a315c00bdb98b@mail.hampshire.edu> Hey Grin! Today is FRIDAY so there will be a hang out/hw space in the CFF at 5PM. Unfortunately there will be no food funding, so it'll just be me and my beautiful face to lure you from your rooms to the CFF. Two events are happening tonight which are not Grin-affiliated but are relevant to our interests The Genderf**k dance is tonight from 9PM-1AM in the Red Barn. **Slumber Party** (type thing) in the CFF from 8-whenever tonight. We can watch movies or TV, paint our nails, play board games, and talk about our feelings, or whatever people want to do. This is a fun sub-free, less-loud alternative to Genderf**k. If you do plan on going to the dance, though, feel free drop in and out as long as you are sober. I am also hosting this as a way to hold space for people who may need to get away from the dance for any reason (which can include it being too loud; I won't assume it's gender-related unless you want to talk about it). No matter what you do, I hope you have fun tonight! Have a good weekend! Hamlet -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... We missed the funding deadline so there won't be food this week, but there's also really nothing for us to organize about, and our spreadsheet of what was planned for today just says _"FINALS"_sooo Some people from GRIN will be doing homework in the CFF today at 5! If you need to leave at 6 to go to SAGA then that is A-OH-KAY. You could also show up late because you're at SAGA? It's your life, I dunno. I'm not on the meal plan (I say as if that meant I don't eat in saga anyway) We may or may not have some accepted students visiting us today? They asked if they could come and I told them that they could but it wouldn't be too exciting because it's finals. In other news: Tonight there are two unaffiliated events happening! At 9pm in the Red Barn is the annual Genderf**k dance ( https://www.facebook.com/events/440408882728963/ ) And at 8:00pm in the CFF there is a sub-free alternative to Genderf**k ( https://www.facebook.com/events/264704943702218/ ) Neither events are organized or affiliated with any student groups. Both are organized entirely by trans folk. You're free to attend both, coming in and out, they aren't opposed to each other, the difference is that one is a dance party and the other is a slumber party. Also I'm really amused that for some reason we have to put little stars in the word "fuck" in the names of events on our college campus. Tiredly yours, Jess -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
