[Grin] QueerConf, Group Re-Recognition Stuff, WHEN are we meeting????

Hey everyone!
This weekend is the annual Five-College Queer Gender & Sexuality
Conference! <https://www.facebook.com/events/226955360761807/>
So obviously, there's so way that anything we held this Friday could
compete with that
_/*BUT
The Group Re-Recognition deadline is in 10 days!
*/_So if we don't have an organizing meeting this week, then the
deadline would come before our next meeting! /And we would lose
recognition status as a group! //
/
If we have our meeting at the regular 3:30 time then that's right in the
middle of querconf workshop session 2. And that's kinda an annoying
time, and it might run into Darkmatter which is like, an important part
of QueerConf that I don't want to make people miss. I understand not
everyone is going to be at queer conference but I know that a lot of
people will be and I want to try and accommodate as many people as
possible.
So here's my proposal: the dinner at queerconf is also pizza, and is
also ~5pm. So how about we have our organizing meeting during dinner at
QueerConf? The big agenda item is finalizing our mission statement
(which isn't necessarily permanent) and choosing someone to put their
name down as a signer for next semester to replace Danny (this person
would have to attend signer seminar next semester, but wouldn't
necessarily have to actually be a signer if we can find someone else to
do it between now and Fall) This will allow us to fill out the
re-recognition form and remain a student group next semester. It will
also change our name officially from Trans Student Alliance to
Gender-Identity Resource Network.
/So if you're for having our meeting this week someone in FPH during
dinner at QueerConf, reply to this email with Aye, if you're against it,
reply to this email with Nay./ (And send yr reply to
jci12 at hampshire.edu, not tsa at lists.hampshire.edu, so you don't bother
everyone on the listserv).
Also, if you want to be a signer next semester *let me know!
*Signers handle paperwork and finances, and have made a commitment to
attend organizational meeting and doing organizing work. They are also
the point of contact with the administration. It doesn't mean you have
to necessarily be a leader-type or anything like that. It just means you
have to be reliable and friendly with staffpeoples (which isn't hard,
because they're all pretty friendly people)
tl;dr: response with "aye" if you want to have an organizing meeting
during dinner at queer conf in FPH somewhere, response with "nay" if
against that idea. Consider being a signer and let me know if you want
to volunteer (possibly via gif of Katniss)
