Hey everyone!!!
TODAY is a super exciting day! AT 3:30PM IN THE CFF we'll be having our
organizing meeting where we will figure out some of the last remaining
things needed for the _GARB program (gender-affirming regalia box)_, a
box where you can trade in used clothes for other people's used clothes
which fit a desired gender presentation , or a wibbly gender
presentation yr experimenting with (and yes! donations are okay!).
These things we'll be figuring out include:
- Getting a power drill or ice pick to make it so the combination lock
can fit on the box (the combination will be given to anyone who asks a
signer or attends any GRIN meeting, no questions asked)
- Making colorful signs to tell everyone what the box is and what the
rules are (this also means deciding what the rules are, though that
should be simple, this discussion could also just be plans for making
signs)
- Maybe planning for painting the box???
- _THIRD SIGNER?!?!?!?_
Then, AT 5:00PM, we're celebrating by having an _ALL-GENDER CLOTHING
SWAP_.
There will be food, and the space is open to anyone to come and exchange
clothes for whatever purpose. The leftover clothes that nobody takes
will be put into GARB as starter clothes!
We ask that you don't make judgements on people based on clothes they
bring in or take out. Don't talk to people afterward about who was there
or what they took. We don't know why someone wanted or had certain
clothes, we don't care why, it's not our business, and we don't know if
they want others to know. People of all genders and identities are
welcome, so just because someone comes doesn't necessarily mean they're
trans or questioning or anything else. It just means they wanted to
exchange used clothes for other used clothes.
Woooo!!!! I'm so excited to get rid of those business-esque button-down
shirts I got as a teen and never wore because of _~+mysterious gender
feelings+~, _and maybe find some fitting femme clothes in time for the
warm spring!
<3 you all!
