For QCA/Queer Communities on Campus:
As it is part of the mission of Residence Life to foster diverse,
socially just, and inclusive communities on campus, it is also our
departments goal to increase diversity and inclusivity in our hiring
practices. In order to properly meet the needs of the many distinct
communities on campus, it is important that Residence Life represents
those communities in the House Interns we hire. This is why I am
reaching out specifically to the Queer Community Alliance for
nominations for queer-identified students as well as allies who would
make great House Interns.
House Interns play an integral role in facilitating community in the
residential areas. Residence Life is seeking candidates who are caring,
responsible, and are committed to our model of inclusivity and social
justice. If you know students who fit this bill, or are that student
yourself, please send a nomination to Matt Swiatlowski, Merrill House
Director at mswiatlowski at hampshire.edu. Be sure to include the students
full, preferred name and email address if known.
Nominations are being accepted through Wednesday, October 12th at 4:00pm.
If you are interested in learning more about the House Intern position,
