Community Meeting: Working on Transgender Civil Rights Together!
Facilitated by the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition

Saturday, February 10, 2007, 1-4 p.m.
Community Room of the Media Education Foundation, 60 Masonic Street,
Northampton (behind Woodstar Cafe)

Come find out what the state of transgender civil rights are in
Massachusetts. Issues of discrimination on the basis of gender
identity and gender expression affect all of us, particularly
transgender and gender-variant people. This is why it is essential
that we work together as transgender people and allies.

The community meeting will include a session on how to advocate with
policymakers and politicians, ways to support the transgender civil
rights movement, and everyday
things you can do to end discrimination.

The event is open to all community members interested in creating a
safe and respectful society.

No prior activism experience is needed to attend, just a willingness to
be a part of an exciting movement.

Light refreshments and materials will be provided. For more
information, visit http://www.masstpc.org or call 617-983-0219.

Co-sponsored by the UMass Amherst Stonewall Center; the East Coast
Female-To-Male Group; Generation Q; UniTy of the Pioneer Valley; the
Sunshine Club; Pride & Joy; Tapestry Health, Inc.
