hey all,
so i finally met with someone from phys plant and this is what he said.

he is in fact the person who puts up the gender signs. nobody tells
him to put them up, he just puts them up whenever he sees them down.
he knows that as soon as he puts up the signs they come down, so he
checks them frequently (especially for FPH, RCC, and the library).
anyone can also put in a work order to put up signs and that's
typically what special programs or other offices will do before
public events, but there is no protocol that he is aware of. he
screwed them in this time to keep them up longer and he thinks it's
effective because they've been up for so long. (evidently years of
direct action was enough to keep the bathrooms "de-gendered," in my
mind, the whole time i've been at hampshire). also, he personally
feels like the bathrooms should be labeled because people don't know
where they are and they aren't accessible.

ok, that's it. if there are any questions let me know and i can send
him an e-mail.

thoughts on where to go from here?,
