[Sisters] Vigil for the victims of dayton, ohio tomorrow: Wednesday at 7pm

There will be a vigil this Wednesday night for the violent gassing at the
Islamic Society of Greater Dayton that happened on September 26th.

When: Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 @ 7:00pm
Where: FPH Torrey Courtyard (Candle Vigil), FPH 101 (Movie Screening)

We will screen clips from the movie Obsession (which is claimed to have caused
the attack) followed by a conversation about the actual incident and what kind
of signals it sends to the public and how it is represented in the US
presidential elections.

During the week of September 21st, a piece of anti-Muslim propaganda called,
"Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West," was distributed by mail and
inserted in newspapers throughout Ohio state.

That Friday, the 27th day of Ramadan, a "chemical irritant" was sprayed into the
Islamic Society of Greater Dayton, where over 300 people were gathered for a
service. This gas was sprayed into the room where babies and young children
were being kept while their guardians were engaged in prayer.

Since the attack, the group responsible for the DVD's distribution has scrubbed
pro-McCain content from their website.
