this conference. This could be the second time Latin at s from Hampshire
participate in the New England Latino Student Leadership Conference.

*New England Latino Student Leadership Conference *


*CONFERENCE HISTORY*

Over the past 10 years, a group of Latino students and professionals
affiliated with the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education
(NASPA-Region I) have organized the *New England Latino Student Leadership
Conference *for college students. The first conference took place in 2003
at Brown University in Rhode Island. Since then the conference has been
hosted by a number of regional colleges and universities, including Eastern
Connecticut State University, Holy Cross College, Boston University,
Northeastern University, Dartmouth, University of Vermont, and University
of Maine.

This conference is returning to Connecticut, specifically to Central
Connecticut State University in the spring of 2013. The Latin American
Student Organization (LASO), Central Organization of Latin American Dance
Association (COLADA), and The Latin American, Latino and Caribbean Center
have teamed up to repeat the success of this conference. We are looking for
your participation.

This conference is scheduled for March 1st and 2nd at Central. We have
reserved rooms at the Farmington Marriott Hotel, in addition to the
Courtyard by Marriott (West Farms Mall) for many of our college students
and their advisors. See accommodations for additional information.


 *CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE*

The objective of this conference is to offer participants a chance to gain
insight on how to serve their communities and themselves in a meaningful
way, to improve their leadership abilities and to learn how to mentor
others in their own leadership journey. At this time, we plan to bring
dynamic speakers who will inspire us to take steps in the right dire
