Bienvenidos to Raices!!

I am really excited to get in contact with you guys and hopefully meet  
you soon. So I have a couple of announcements for you all to be on the  
lookout for.

1. At our last meeting, we talked about events the group wants to have  
this semester. One event that was suggested was Latin@ Yums. Yay! So  
the first, hopefully of several Latin@ Yums this semester, will be  
October 25th @ the Merrill Living Room from 5-7pm. There will be  
cooking and Musica just like home so you have to come!, which leads me  
to announcement #2.

2. Next Wednesday, October 17th from 6-7pm at the CC we will have our  
next Raices meeting. At the meeting, one of the things we will talk  
about is what food we want to cook and eat for Latin@ Yums. Start  
thinking about what kind of food you want to cook that day so we can  
create a list of ingredients. It is important for you guys to come to  
the meeting and let us know. We need to take over Merrill living room  
and kitchen with lots of Spanish musica playing while we get to know  
each other through food, which is the best way. Therefore, you should  
totally come to the meeting.

Our events and our group as a whole are only as strong as our members'  
participation. I understand everyone is busy with school and it's  
starting to get cold but I am reaching out to you to STAND UP!!  
REPRESENT our group. We want to have an awesome semester and create a  
strong Latin@ family at Hampshire.

I can't wait to meet all of you on Wednesday. If you have any  
questions, please feel free to contact me or the other two signers,  
Diana and Nelson, who are amazing.
