As all of you must know, Student Action is hosting a GROW (Grassroots
Organizing Weekend) during the weekend of March 5-7.  The GROW is based on 
the
principles of Direct Action Organizing, and is meant to help make people 
aware
of their own power, alter the relations of power, and win concrete victories
to improve people's lives.
Other things about the GROW:

Sections of the GROW discuss:
?        How to assess and measure what forms of power students have
?        How to turn student problems into framed issues that we can build
          campaigns around
?        How to map out strategy
?        How to build your organization and recruit new members
?        How to build coalitions
?        How to hold actions to get what you want from the people who can 
give
          it to your group

The GROW is a great tool to:
?        Develop new leaders in your organizations
?        Recruit new members to your organizations
?        Learn how to build organizational resources
?        Strengthen existing campaigns, rejuvinate dwindling campaigns, or
          kick-off new campaigns
?        Hone organizing skills to be used throughout your activist lives!


The GROW promises to be a rewarding and spectacular weekend!!  This is a
program that would usually cost quite a bit to attend, and we're offering it
for free, so please take advantage of the opportunity.  I'm pumped up, and
