                       A Tribute to Pedro Pietri
             Memorial Event for Nuyorican Poet Pedro Pietri
                     Readers and Speakers include:
                            Magdalena Gomez,
                            Robert Marquez,
                              Sonia Nieto
                               and others

                 Join us Sunday, April 18th at 3:00 pm
                       At Food For Thought Books
                     Downtown Amherst, Massachusetts

 here will be food, drinks, live music, speakers and a group reading of
          Pedro Pietri's classic work:  "Puerto Rican Obituary"

The life of this eminent poet is a reflection of the circumstances of
our age-from the Puerto Rican migrations, through the disintegration of
New York neighborhoods, to the Vietnam era and the aftermath of
environmental pollution, El Rev Pedro Pietri has been a creative voice
to the madness that surrounds us.

The Lebrón-Wiggins-Pran Cultural Center's mission is to provide support and

to provide a safe space and "home away from home" for these students.

race, ethnicity, oppression and underrepresentation through campus-wide
programs and resources.
