hi everyone!

I will be attending this workshop on April 5th, along with i;m sure  
some other hampshire students. funding is available through community  
partnerships for social change, the women's center will be giving $$ to  
cover the fees. i dont think CPSC is organizing people to go, but  
definitely if RAICES was interested in organizing a van or two, it  
would be great. i think transportation is up in the air, a get yourself  
there sort of a deal... if people want to get organized , great!

Presenter Maria Reinat-Pumarejo (core trainer with the People's  
Institute for Survial and Beyond and Co-Founder and Co-Director of ile  
- the Institute for Latino Empowerment) will lead this session looking  
at Latino identity and cultural issues and the impact of racism, the  
census and militarism on the Latino community and anti-racist  
organizing.  This is critical information for all organizers,  
educators, community leaders, students and anyone interested in the  
undoing of racism.  Don't miss this great opportunity to learn and  
share! 

It's a rare treat to have Maria here from Puerto Rico to share the  
important analysis ile is developing about the US government's efforts  
to create a Latino identity crisis that will divide communities of  
color and further entrench the white power structure.
